FireFox will be bigger in 2009?
According to the 1400+ persons who voted for Firefox in the poll that was held for for the last couple of months, Firefox is going to gain even more market share in 2009. Indeed 54% of the voters are confident that thanks to its current features (long with the ones being developed now) Firefox will be bigger in 2009.
MS Internet Explorer 7 and 8 are in the second place with 22% of the voters picking them up whereas google Chrome has surprisingly amassed the votes of 16% of the voters. This is surprising if we consider that Chrome is still really young and lightweight. Is this due to the announcement of the upcoming extensions (probably in may 2009?) or just because it is a Google product?
Opera only has the support of 6% of the participants. Opera is an excellent Web standards compliant browser that is quick and solid but not really popular! Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post with the top reason that will probably convince you to try Opera.

Firefox is definitely the new (and old) thing. The majority of experienced internet users use it, and the ones that don't, probably don't know much about computers as it most likely just came with the computer they bought. Regardless, I love FF, and I'm sticking to it. So many great addons and its more flexible than any other browser out there.

I love Firefox. I've got to admit that when I am on a general browse I've really got into Chrome as it is super fast… but when I need to get into some serious work, Firefox has so many tools that I rely upon that I really couldn't live without it…

I agree with Kaiser, FF will maintain its position. But, FF needs to at least improve its browser. I'm having some problem with their browser lately. It kept on crashing. All my works sometimes turned out to be a total mess. I don't have any other choice, but to do it again!

As soon as Microsoft changed their Internet Explorer layout and view, that is when I told them to go bye bye
and at the same time they started getting more and more errors and websites began not to show up as they should, and yes, Firefox makes me happy more and more.

The reason I switched to firefox back in the day, it's because it looked and worked like IE, if slightly better, since after their 6.0 browser update I was greatly displeased.
Then it kept on getting better with add-ons, plug-ins and customization. I'm surprised if it becomes even bigger in years to come.

Firefox has already become the bigger. I use windows 7 and I have IE 9. But I use firefox. This is reliable and faster than IE. The most interesting thing that makes it better than IE is its add on and themes and personas. Users IE are deprived of using these cool stuffs. I feel sorry for them.

I always love using Firefox. But there are some add-ons that would make it painful to use. If that happens I switch to Chrome. But still I go back to using Firefox since most of the useful add-ons for me is in Firefox.
