How The Mozilla Mascot was born?
Today, while browsing the net as usual I’ve stumbled on this article written by the famous illustrator Dave Titus. This article was written back in December 2002 and explains the history of the original mozilla mascot creation since 1994, that green fella dinosaur looks really more friendly than the red Tyrannosaur Rex mascot/icon used today by Mozilla…

I don’t know if it is really related to the mozilla’s T-Rex, even that T-rex is not very famous! needless to say, when one thinks Mozilla the picture of firefox or even thunderbird pops up but not the one of that T-rex, or may this is just me?

I couldn't stop thinking of their mistakes when it comes to advertising.I know this is not what this article was about,but I just read a post on bad moves by Ryan Deiss and popped into in my mind that,for such a big name,Mozilla could do better in this field.I guess I'm feeling compelled to chime in with the recent discussions around the Mozilla Firefox campaign to raise money for a six-figure full-page ad in New York Times.I thought experts were agreed that advertising works only to keep the number one position, not to attain it.Advertising teaches the sheep who the number one vendor is. Advertising makes sense for Dell and Microsoft and IBM, companies with lots and lots of money to tell sheep what vendor to buy.
